We are seeking a motivated, innovative scientist with broad, hands-on experience in molecular, biochemical, and cellular pharmacology techniques. The successful candidate will be looking to apply their expertise in a drug discovery setting and demonstrate a strong desire to collaborate within a multidisciplinary drug discovery team

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, design and execute molecular, biochemical, and cell-based assays to support on-going drug discovery projects

• Apply technical proficiency and attention to detail to troubleshoot and optimize assay performance

• Analyze and interpret data and effectively document and communicate results

• Work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment and have excellent organizational and communication skills

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS (or equivalent degree) and 4+ years of relevant employment experience, or MS (or equivalent degree) and 0-2 years of relevant employment experience

• Extensive experience with molecular, biochemical and cellular pharmacology techniques and their and applications to drug discovery (including cell culture and cell line development, standard molecular biology techniques, experience with human cell models, Western blotting, etc)

• In depth experience in the design, execution, and interpretation of in-vitro pharmacology studies

• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of ion channel pharmacology and electrophysiology (preferably Ussing chamber recordings)

• Familiarity with the drug discovery process

• Working knowledge of drug mechanism of action studies

• Experience with lipid nanoparticles

• Ability to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced, highly matrixed work environment
