Job description

Lenox Executive Search is seeking an experienced GMP Operations Project Planner to fill 12+ month extendable contractual role with a global pharmaceutical company. Must have 3-5 years of GMP bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality systems experience.

The GMP Operations Project Planner is a Manufacturing, Planning, and Materials role. This position is responsible for delivering projects that mature or improve cross-functional drug product manufacturing. The role reports into the Senior Project Manager and supports the Planning team in readiness activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support the maintenance of the project plan and dashboards
  • Support the manufacturing team as the single source of project information
  • Understand cross-functional inter-dependencies within a timeline; Proactively assess downstream impact of changes to project plans and impacts to milestones.
  • Generate critical path analyses and support scenario planning
  • Assist in development of management reports and dashboards
  • Work with functional representatives to ensure alignment of project timelines with functional timelines

Performance Standards and Metrics

  • Collect and report project metrics to aid in planning and capacity management

Project Management Support for Teams

  • Participate in and support project management in Team meetings
  • Provide project management support as needed to cross-functional projects and serve as backup for Senior Project Manager on assigned projects

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree & 1+ year of Project Management experience in the healthcare industry
  • Bachelor’s degree & 2+ years of Project Management experience in any field
  • 2+ years of experience in Life Sciences or healthcare industry
  • 1+ year experience in project management
  • Experience working in a GMP manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP knowledge or MBA
  • Knowledge of cross-functional drug development processes
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, practices tools, technology and methodologies.
  • Proven experience leading cross functional teams
  • Relationship management and demonstrated influencing skills for critical projects
  • Excellent written, presentation and communication skills
  • Proven commitment to stakeholder satisfaction and the highest ethical standards
