Job Description:

This is a lab-based position for a junior research associate. At least 6 months laboratory experience and experience with mammalian cell culture is essential. Experience working in an industry setting is highly desirable.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Mammalian cell culture
  • Culture and manipulate primary human immune cells
  • Design and execute ELISA and MSD assays
  • In vitro and/or cell-based drug screening assays
  • Design and conduct molecular and cellular biology experiments for compound screening or mechanistic pathway analysis using human and mouse cell lines
  • Work closely with senior/principal scientist and biology/chemistry group leaders to design, develop, and execute experiment protocols
  • Record all data and results in electronic notebook with accuracy and timeliness
  • Help maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies
  • Ensure that all safety guidelines are strictly followed at all times and maintain a clean and orderly work environment
  • Summarize data in an organized and presentable fashion

    Primary Job Requirements:

  • B.A., B.Sc., or M.Sc. with 1+ year laboratory experience
  • Experience in tissue culture of cancer and/or immune cells is required
  • Basic laboratory skills in molecular and cell biology is essential and experience working in a drug discovery setting is highly desirable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment on an interdisciplinary team
  • Must have excellent written, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize assigned work in order to meet regular timelines
