Boston – 6 month contract – potential to extend

General/Position Summary:

The Material Science Scientific Associate II will support drug development through proficiency in a range of related technical processes and procedures. The role will perform a range of materials science and engineering activities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform activities related to characterization techniques and predictive models which connect material properties and pharmaceutical processing conditions

• Participate in experiments to discover and characterize all aspects of solid form discovery and development of drug substances and drug product formulations

• Develop an understanding of physiochemical and biopharmaceutical properties of drug substances and drug product formulations

• May conduct own experimental troubleshooting

• Performs basic analysis of experimental data including appropriate statistical review

• Participates in department/group discussions

Required Education Level:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required

Required Experience:

• Typically requires 1-4 years’ experience with a Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Knowledge/Skills:

• Good communication skills to communicate technical/scientific information within a team

• Effective at working as a member of a multidisciplinary team
